On December 9, 2025, a jury returned an $8.4 million verdict in non-economic damages for Plaintiff Ross Byer against the City of La Palma arising from claims including race discrimination, retaliation, and failure to prevent discrimination/retaliation. This case presented challenging facts in a conservative venue, but our firm’s trial strategy resulted in a significant verdict for our client.
